The original lighting design of Matt Haskins has been re-staged to great effect by associate lighting designer Jason Bovaird. For a show with this many gags involving lights, the design and execution are crucial, and Bovaird delivers attractive visuals and split second timing with great flair.  MAN IN CHAIR - (Simon Parris)

"As well as the stunning lighting design by Jason Bovaird, what truly lifted this piece into a tour de force was the screen behind the performers which I might add was creatively lit when not in use which showed old school sped stage directions and lyrics from the stage show. STAGE WHISPERS

"Jennifer Sarah Dean's production relies on a myriad of sound and lighting effects (Kyle Evans, Jason Bovaird) that include thunder and lightning, creaking floors, distant horses, hoofs and stunning errie twilights. - HERALD SUN (Kate Herbert)

"The ghostly presence is a good and spine - chilling effect. Her presence when the audience is made aware of it is beautifully costumed by Rhiannon Irving and stunningly lit by Jason Bovaird  - STAGE WHISPERS

"Jason Bovaird’s unobtrusive lighting scheme warms up the cool greys, adding subtle emotional inflections but the effect, with all elements working together, is poetically stylised rather than realistic and feels depressing and claustrophobic. -

"Lighting by Jason Bovaird was able to capture the ever changing shadows and colours of the neighbourhood and highlights stand out as back lit scenes and the moment the stage was cleverly light by torches and mobile phones alone in Blackout. " THEATRE PEOPLE
